With all do respect to your mechanic, you will tig weld the head, then send it out to have it resurfaced and reinstall with new gaskets and head bolts. Your mechanic is being paid 125.00 an hour, and the likelihood that the repair is going to work, you might want to think about going with a new head or a used one? I am not being mean, just I would not do it for the amount of money you will have in it.
    J
    125.00 an hour x5 625.00
    gasket 155.00
    oil and filter 25.00
    tig weld 75.00
    machining 75.00
    head bolts 75.00 ???
    any others things 55.00
round number 1100.00 if the head fails none of this list can be reused so you would be out twice this amount plus a new head and still need another head to be installed. Think about just getting a good used head or a new head for the ski.
I wish you the best on the repairs with your ski.

head gasket wasn’t damaged at all , there aren’t any signs of water in the piston chambers .

took the head to workshop to check where exactly are the cracks in the head .

Tomorrow or after will report back with pics or video.

Hello every one, this topic had grabbed my interest sense I own a SVHO and I am not no engine expert but I did see RIVA Racing sells a RIVA Pro-Series Engine Cooling Upgrade Kit ITEM# RY10080-ECUK-PC-2 for $269.95. I think I will add this to my ski they also have a video on it explaining the benefits. If it is as good as they it is I think it will help all of us.
