Hi Guys

I am thinking about starting a GPR SVHO conversion. From what I have read on here I cant find any info on the svho engine being used only sho.

Is it possible to disable the ride system?

Any recommendations on the doner ski? FX, FZS?

Any better year of GP1200R or GP1300R to use?

what is the ride system?

2001 gp1200r is the go to for hull, gp1300r steering would be good to keep the steering sensor in use. FX ski will have the correct driveshaft for the swap if you use the fx jet pump. Lots of stuff you are going to need, should be easy to find a list by reading on other builds.

I have everything for your conversion I am or was converting my 2010 fzr to svho.I have the 2016 8 vane pump with the 2014 intake grate complete engine that starts and runs as of now.The reson I am selling just found oout tonight wife is pregnant with 4th child so all toys are going message me if you are interested I have 2 one is a 2010 fzr converted to svho and a 2012 fxho both motors are super charged.Iam shipping a bunch of parts to Europe so it don't matter where you are and will be paypal.I ama very good seller and buyer but all parts are sold as is where is but I have refrences if you need.hit me up on messenger.

I have an 05 gp1300r with 2017 svho. Ran it for about 6 months now I have it back in my shop bringing the build to a new level should be done in a month or two. If you need any photos or info message me

Ignore the post about using a 2001. 2003+ with the updated SMC is where it’s at.

Don’t plan on setting any record though. The hull seems to max out around 115. Beyond that you’ll need a massive tunnel mod. The larger FZ and new (17+) “VXR SVHO” - LoL, are pushing 120+. There’s a new video of a 135mph 17+ GP...

As for a donor ski the engine won’t matter. For the ECU I would use an FZ as they don’t have RiDE.

Id be curious to see an update. I want to do a GPSVHOR for a surf ski. At 6’1 260 muscular stand ups don’t handle me well.

The gprsvho won’t be a good surf ski they’re very nose heavy and tend to dive more then jump with the heavier svho motor. You’ll fill the hull with water really quickly.
