    St3 pump stuff speed?

    at what speed does the ST3 hull and( 161 mm) pump start to stuff { stock prop/ stock pump/ stock ride plate / stock grate} only mod to pump is a lucky 13 cone , no spacers yet.

    Wouldn’t the lucky 13 cause without boring the nozzle cause it to stuff at a lower mph since you are raising discharge pressure? Also have you had much success with your lucky 13 took a lot of work to get mine right and I seen no gains besides it doesn’t cavatate on a hard launch

    this is the 1st ST3 hull I have had...it worked good on a t3 hull, and just getting into this , so looking to learn....have searched and did not find much about stuff speed of newer (RXTX) type hull

    I can tell you you that without an intake grate crazy things happen at about 74-75. I took it off just to see if there would be any gain and it nearly threw me off. With the grate on I'd think your good into the 80's but I'm not sure. I've only gone 77

    You rode it with no intake grate on at all ?

    I did it on purpose just playing around when I was fine tuning the prop to see if there was a difference. There was, violent bucking at 75. I literally took it in and out of the water at least 5 times that day pitching the prop and I tried no grate out of curiosity because I couldn't find any info on running without one. It drove fine besides the stuffing at high speed btw.

    so anyone have a do & don't do list for the St3 hull, as to avoid stuffing pump.
