    1995 Gts alignment

    Hi Everyone,

I am looking for some advice on aligning my engine and impeller shaft in my 95 GTS 587. I removed the engine to fix an oil leak and now I am a little stuck on the alignment. I donít have the alignment tool and there are no dealers around. Currently, the shaft and engine are installed and there is some minor movement on the shaft which is noticeable on the rubber boot with the bearing. I have used a calliper to measure the wobble and reduce the difference.I am close but there is always a little bit of play. I would imagine if I used the alignment tool I would be just as close, but I was wondering if anyone has advice or recommendations to help get it as close as possible.

I'm with Water Worx.........and both of us do this for a living.

If you can feel a bit of play on the shaft up and down and left to right, it will be just fine.

Thanks guys. I’m a skidoo kinda guy and I am just getting into working on seadoos. I tried to align by feel but I would like to check it. Can anyone with the alignment tool and a caliper give me the measurements for the diameter of the main shaft and then the splined end?
