    removable FZR HULL ?

    is this hull removable ?

its a good idea to move the top deck to have space working on the engine !!!

i just need to know how do they install the top deck and what holds it down ? Without water going inside the hull .

hope some one here share his experience about this .

That is a stock top deck that is unglued and held back on with screws on all four corners. On all of them which I have seen done there is no resealing at all otherwise it would defeat the purpose of easy removal for ongoing maintenance. This along with the gutting off the hull insides and modifications to the water opening is something that is done for racing use

Do the resealed hulls flex any more than stock and what did you do to separate them?

For recreational use you would not want to gut the hull insides. The removal of foam changes the handling and allows the nano to flex alot so if you hit anything at all out on the water you will capsize the ski.Its already happened to a few guys and its just not worth it

I agree with FXslowcruiser. I Gutted mine after I separated it. It was a nightmare and its very flexible. So much so that I may end up with a layer of carbon in the bottom. Ksalles tried to talk me out of it, but I'm hardheaded . He was right. Its super light now and will be used recreationally in the back water river and such where it never gets too rough. I do not condone nor recommend gutting a recreational ski.
