8,500 seems to be the the agreed point to go to Ti retainers to be safe. When should you be looking at springs and dual springs? Anyone with good information on this?

It's not $100 difference. The RIVA retainers are $314.95 if you buy them in the GreenHulk Store and use the discount code greenhulk at checkout.
To answer your question, I don't know anyone that's used the Aquasport retainers.

Stock valvetrain is safe to 8700 RPM.
RIVA retainers safely get you to 9500.... some people even go higher. I always recommend if you plan to turn 9500 or more then you want to do both the springs and retainers.

If you are over 9000 with retainers is there anything else compulsory? At what point would you "need" upgraded supercharger shaft, or is that ok with a stock wheel?

Got ya on the failed aquasport.

has there never been a failed riva? I am sure there has been. Everything can fail.
