06 RXP Valve Broke, Now What to do?

I have an 06 RXP with about 250 hours on it, I'm fairly certain it dropped a valve. The mechanical noise was terrible, it happened after a WOT run about 7750 RPM, the engine locked up. I pulled the plugs and one is destroyed, burned and the electrode smashed so that cylinder is not good.

Can the head be removed without pulling the engine out?

I'm not sure it is worth the investment to get it back in running shape, I may part it out as I have quite a few good parts in it?

What have others done in this situation?

    Thanks

Yes the cylinder head can be removed without pulling the engine.. It probably caused damage to the piston as well..

Pull the head, sometimes you can get lucky, and the valve will bend, other times it snaps off completely and looks like a bomb went off in that cylinder. The first one can be fixed fairly easy, the second one full rebuild, and maybe a head or block. If that’s the case, part out what’s left

It's toast, cracked block, both exhaust valves broke off and bounced around a bit. I'll put some pics on here soon. The ski, trailer and all parts are listed.

Hey Ted, I think I looked at your seat for sale last time I was in OK, you had a hornet or bee issue, right?
