    is the Stock SVHO Block Nikasiled yes or no

    Did someone know if is the Stock SVHO Block Nikasiled yes or not ?
    So What about the Darton Sleeves Nikasiled as well or not ?


    So to build an bulledproofe block you need to sleeve the Block what did you think?

    I do not believe the stock bore is. The ductile iron sleeves are not. You do not hone coated liners or bores.

    Bullet proof is a relative term. The iron sleeves will hold there shape better but do not add any real strength to the block. I went for more compression and bore to un shroud the valves so the motor breathes better.

    They are not nikasiled, nor do they need to be.
    Stock sleeves have been proven to 40 psi no problems. No need to re sleeve.

    They arent! they are ductile iron bores. It's the 300 engines that are Plasma coated and they are terrible!!

    Well you can see here this is an 2013 seadoo 260 Block which has the nikasil or similar coating inside...
    Why is the Plasma Coating bad ?

    No it doesn't, 4tec blocks use regular iron sleeves.

    They are not nikasiled or coated in any way. What you see there is the iron bores are damaged from excessive heat.
