    Cover question

Will a cover from a 2009 ultra 260x fit properly on a 2013 ultra lx?

Or is the upper hull the same for not years of ultra ?

it will fit,,, but the bars are a bit wider on the 300 on up than the 250 and 260s were, so it might rip at the ends of the bars. the newer covers a slightly wider at the bars.

No more factory covers for me! Oh, they look nice and fit nice for a year or two, then they shrink, the material rots, and they're junk.

I prefer the 600 denier covers found on Ebay. A lot cheaper, and they seem to last longer, and they fit loosely so they're much easier to put on. On the minus side, you really need to put a towel underneath the cover to prevent it from scuffing the finish on the front hatch.

You should never tow your 'Ski with any kind of cover on it.

I purchased this cover new in box (old stock). This is what it looked like after less than 3 years.

    That’s what mine looks like.

Is there even such a thing as a bullet-proof cover? I have to replace mine about every two years. The sun just beats down on em and eventually the canvas is like paper thin, tears, and they're done.
