Sleeved cylinders?
Okay, with the risk of starting a holy war, I'm asking the question. I burned another piston (entirely my fault, I knew it was running way lean) on my 99XLL1200.
The engine as I bought it was all sleeved, and I bored .5 over the last time I did this...
As a purely recreational rider (150psi Riva head, Stinger2 exhaust, R&D reed valves and flame arrestors, 12/19 Solas SB, top loader, etc.) do I care about getting new nicasil cylinders? What does it really do for me?
And since I'm asking, who knows a good 2 stroke mechanic in NE Atlanta to bore the cylinders?
