Polaris SLT780 waterbox very hot, #9 screened water fitting?
My water box is getting extremely hot. Sizzling water hot motor is normal running temperature.
I pulled #9 fitting off exhaust pipe the screen was twisted but I can see daylight through the hole. does it have to be reduced or can I run a normal wide open fitting.
Also is it a check valve?Last edited by K447; 11-29-2019 at 02:59 PM. Reason: Hot waterbox

The screen may be clear, but what about the other end? It's a tiny hole that can easily become clogged.

Forgot to mention, check your rubber hoses. If the one going out gets too hot, they get soft. When that happens, it's possible it may collapse when under way. Usually it's good at slower speeds but will restrict exhaust flow at higher RPM and the ski will act very sluggish
