So I thought I was getting a good deal...

To start things off Iíve been in the boat industry for about 3 years now, so I have alittle common sense, but not enough apparently... I bought a 02 f12x and trailer for $800. The guy said he put too much in it and didnít want to deal with it anymore. So I hooked a vacuum/boost gauge and took it out on the water. It will idle fine. And when you go to give it any throttle it will stutter and die. I got the boost gauge to 5 psi at the highest feathering the throttle to gain a few thousand rpmís. I have checked: compression, injection spray, air filter, changed oil, put new 93 fuel and sea foam, and new plugs. It is not flashing any codes. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It has a brand new one in it because the previous owner had an issue with the knock sensor throwing a code. He changed the knock sensor and it still threw the code so he put a brand new one in it and it got rid of that issue and it work for about a month. Then this issue started happening and he got tired of putting money in it.

I am not a Honda watercraft guy, but have you checked fuel pressure?

On other brands, a clogged fuel filter or a weak fuel pump can cause strange problems.

I have not checked it with a gauge, because from my understanding you need a special fitting to hook a gauge to the fuel line because it is one piece from the pump to the fuel rail. But fuel flow looks good and injector spray is strong

The knock sensor code was a issue if I remember right, and was a ecu issue. There was a guy that you can send your ecu to and he would fix it. I'll see if I can find his info.

Anything boosted will NOT run right with a non boost ecu. The computer cannot compensate. Maybe he's done spending money cause he bought the wrong ecu.......you'll never get the truth about that lol!
