    Seadoo rxp300 - supercharger seized ...? Help - weird events ?

    Hey guys

i recently took my px300 in for a service to a Seadoo dealership
routine service - no known issues -

service was completed and I collected ski - later than afternoon I was going to take ski for ride but it would not start

the ski would try & turnover but was turning over really slowly -
was pretty disappointed - it went into dealer running with no issues
Thought it was poor form from the dealers perspective , However I applied benefit of doubt , the slow turning over sounded like a flat battery issue - had no previous battery issues.
placed on charge , 1 week later , reconnected battery , same issue
purchased new battery , same issue

now Iím annoyed as ski was fully functioning prior to dealer drop off , no error codes , 75 hours on ski, serviced every 25 hours

i return to dealer who takes ski . 3 days later he rings to advise the fault was a seized charger and it must ve seized in between the time they originally serviced it and when I picked it up ( ski has performed no hours , it did not start when I collected after service , basically his explanation is it seized whilst it was waiting for me to collect whilst on trailer ????????)

he advised that they pulled the charger , cleaned it ( says it was water affected and that why it seized ) and now that they cleaned it , it fixed and ready to collect

I ve got some grave concerns about this :-

    1. if water was in charger as suggested, I havenít riden ski for 4 to 5 months - why would it start and run no problem prior to drop off , (the dealer started it in driveway of workshop prior to service ) and only seize after they serviced it

2 . If charger was so badly seized to prevent engine from turning over , how could a quick clean fix the problem , what damage has the supercharger internals or possibly engine experience whilst trying to turn ski on and start

3 If charger was seized , part of routine service is a slip test , how could this not be detected during slip test ?

4 .Wouldnít a Seadoo dealer standard service involve inspection of charger as part of process - identifying any potential risk ?

the whole thing sounds mechanically impossible to me and now instead of peace of mind after a service I feel like I ve got a hand grenade thatís about to go off

Thereís a lot of switched on users on the forum , I d love to hear your opinions

    Thanks

Ski went in with no issues , no error codes, purely for servicing
left with a ďseizedĒ charger - disbelief

can any comment as to how this may have even occurred ??

no pics of charger - ski is still at dealer , I havenít collected it

    this has just occurred

they fixed it free of charge , when I say fix , they say cleaned,

how can a charger that that stopped a motor from turning over be fixed by a ďcleanĒ

    I just Donít get it

A SC just docent lock up for no reason specially in just a few days waiting for you to pick it up , there is more to the story than they want to say, if itís got warranty take it back ride it till it blows up then have them replace it all .
