Are the 1.8 engine easier to work on than the previous 1000cc engines?

It seems to me there is more room and space in the 1.8 liter engines of the 2012 model and up versus the other models of previous years. And it seems to me there is more direct access to engine parts in the Hull of the 1.8 L versus the previous

100%... I have had lots of experience with the 2006 FX-HO and i can tell you the 1800cc motors are a cake walk compared to the 1052cc motors...

I have both a 1.8L (FZR) and a 1052cc MR1 (FX HO) and can tell you that that 1.8L is way easier to work on. Your have more room to work and all the main parts of the engine you need to access are right there. Also, one of the best things you can do for yourself, regardless of the ski, is pick up a service manual. Really helps when working on them. They’re sold in the online store here

I have also had both out, completely apart, and put back in..........the 1.8 is MUCH easier.
