    Question 2003 XL700 Starter Removal?

Whats the process for getting the starter out? I cant see around the exhaust manifold and would rather not remove it. How many bolts hold it in?

    thanks

two bolts hold the starter in place. I think they have 12mm heads. remove them [under one should be a ground wire with ring terminal.]. then pull the starter back towards the rear [PTO] direction. It may have some coorosion so tapping levering may be required. once free, remove the positive wire attached to the side with a 10mm socket.

The bolts were already out of the first one and the starter came out in pieces. The second one I got the first bolt out that hold the terminal but the second bolt looks like I might need a swivel socket. Do I?
