Is there a secret to removing spark plug caps 17 stx 15 F

Im a long time owner of numerous powersport vehicles , but ive never had such a hard time removing spark plug wires to get to the plugs ...this new style of plug wire has a really soft rubber top and is almost impossible to grab ...i damaged 2 of the 4 when removing them today and at $47 each im not looking forward to damaging any more....any secrets to remove these ?

I put dielectric grease on the ID of the spark plug boot so the porcelain of the plug doesn't bond to it.

I do use that , if you look closely at the pic you can see it on there ..the problem is that the top of the cap is so soft and the fit is so tight you cant grab the top and get it to budge ....i tried twisting it and it doesnt budge...this is driving me nuts

I had to change plugs in one of my 'Skis this week and the only kind of lubricant I had with me was Teflon pipe sealant. Smeared a thin layer over the outside of the wire insulators and it works great! After running it a while, I could grab the insulator and twist it pretty easily.

Also be very careful taking spark plugs out. They snap off really easy!
