    Thanks myself. I havenít had anyone to show me the ropes during my first engine build so really just grateful I caught it before it was too late. Despite a waste of $55 for new bolts, I think itís relatively cheap school fees for a lesson that I will take with me for the rest of my life.

    Yep, rod caps do have an orientation on the rod. From your original description I thought you were talking about the entire rod on the big end.

    Also, make sure you are using all the same weight of rods, indicated by an ink stamp on the side. If you are unsure, weigh each on a scale.

    Cool thanks Greg. I havenít changed my rods so I am assuming it will be ok and I donít need to do the check.

    For those of you that are where I am from, and rods means underwear, I have changed my underwear.
