t-bolt clamp vs worm-gear clamp for hose on exhaust 2007 RXT

I did my winterization on my ski last night and I usually remove top IC hose as well as the hose on top of the exhaust pipe (as per BRP manual ) and attach 2 short hoses and a funnel to add the anti-freeze. After i was finished and went to tighten the worm-gear clamp on the exhaust pipe with a nut driver, it wouldn't tighten completly(similiar to being stripped). So I have another worm-gear clamp that I can use to replace but was wondering if a t-bolt clamp would be better in this application? I'm just not sure if the t-bolt clamp is made in this smaller size? Anybody here use t-bolt clamps?

I removed all the worm gear clamps on the exhaust and intercooler piping and replaced them with t bolt clamps. Iíve never had good luck with worm gear clamps.

thanks for the info. I will see if I can source some locally. There are a couple tuner shops that do big turbo's,so hopefully they have a supplier that I could order some in SS.

I’ll give you those are better then worm gear clamps. I just took one of those out on a charge tube with being a little over snug tight

I'll second the "euro" style gear clamps, they hold and are much more compact which is nice when working in the tight spaces.

Never had an issue with the AWAB clamps, though I do use a 1 inch wide T-bolt for the main coolant hose that runs to the top head which has never leaked since adding it. The AWAB clamps use an odd sized bolt head which none of my hand held nut drives fit except for a socket from my socket set.
