    please post pictures. i cant fathom how it didnt damage the piston if it dropped a valve..... if you're lucky it could have hit it one time and launched the broken piece up into the head and it stuck. the piston may be useable but the valve does not drop, hit the piston and cause zero damage.

    can you turn it over by hand so its at tdc? If you do, make sure you support the timing chain so it doesn't get jammed. Also make sure the cylinders don't lift.

    I wanted to thank you for the recommendation. I actually decided to rebuild the engine. New head, forged pistons, etc. Steve is great with a two year warranty.

    I am currently fixing my friends 2013 300x
    The exhaust valve snapped, the head clean came off the valve stem.
    It has 90 hours use.

    When I started to fix the ski it was just a head. I decided to do a full rebuild. The lower end was fine but; I didn't want to take any chances. My crank and cams were perfect. I purchased a brand new head and forged pistons with some other upgrades. I'm not looking to doing this again.

    BTW...Mine has around 110 hours
