should I use a 83mm or 87mm nozzle with stage1 riva 2008 rxpx255
I have 2008 rxpx 255 I just picked it up and I have not owned a ski since the early 90s
The supercharger has just been rebuilt.
It runs 69mph
My question is riva stage 1 without the nozzle reduction, they won't sell any longer.
Is it going to be bad to buy an 83mm nozzle or should I keep the stock 87mm.
Because of that stuffing Issue
Help! and Thanks

I have a stock nozzle running 74/75 and no issues and from what I hear it won't be much an issue unless your closer to 80 or have a wedge AND aggressive grate that slams water into the pump. Even then until you get to upper 70s I think you should be fine. But I'm sure an expert will chime in.

I will say check your motor mounts by trying to lift up on the side of the ski the waterbox is on may need to loosen the water box. My mounts went and I nearly sank due to the carbon seal not being aligned

The 2 degree spacer is what I meant by wedge sorry. I have no experience with the worx grate i have herd of the worx top loader being aggressive but still if. You not at 78 or. Above you should be fine

These are the mods that everyone used to do to the 2008-2011 Rxpx
1. Install a 4" CAI
2. Remove the FA from the intake manifold
3. Install a R&D intake grate (This grate is no longer available. The Riva grate for this ski would probably be the next best for speed)
4. Add the Riva pump wedge and extension rod
5. Install a 83mm pump nozzle
6. Install a 15/22 prop. ( you will need to tweek the prop to hit the RPM's at 8200 +/- )

Slow for a stage 1 ....Make sure you have the 4 inch intake....I think the R &D is the best grate....you are still in danger above 75...Mine was doing 74 and I never stuffed..... what are your RPMs???
