Getting in wet with leather seats in your tow vehicle

I had a Tundra with cloth seats, it was my work vehicle so I'd just put a towel down and get in after a ride to drive home. I just got a new truck with perforated heated/cooled leather seats. I'm wondering if I'm going to ruin them. What do you guys do with your leather seats?

When wet.... A towel always does the job. Either that or just bring a spare set of clothes.

Our '95 Jeep has leather and we've been in and out of it countless times in the last 13 years. Just sit on a folded towel, never any issues.

Of course, I conditioned te leather twice a year.

Those are just regular leather seats, the ones with ventilation have small holes going through the leather. Not sure if there's any real harm but I feel better trying to avoid getting water to soak down through the perforations.

There's neoprene seat covers...you could just put them on when you know you're going to hit the water. You can shop around online and find different brands/prices. probably still use a towel on top of them if you wanted.

Thanks everyone! I put a towel down for today, We weren't soaked but I think I will get some seat covers I can put on for the ride home. This truck is way too expensive and nice to risk screwing it up lol. I don't even pay the bill, its for our family business that my parents still own and I'd hate to come off like a spoiled jack off and trash this truck they were nice enough to let me get haha.

Sounds like you might appreciate what you're fortunate enough to have. But don't forget, condition that leather at least every 6 months.

Oh yea! The dealer actually included a deal with a local car wash that will condition the leather and put a special paint protection on the truck for the next 5 years.
