I'm waiting for Green Hulk to reply as this is not what he indicated in post #1, 7, 11, etc. for this product and it is not what Watercraft Journal stated in a recent article. I think quite a few people are going to be disappointed at the money spent if the wear ring is the only upgrade. I don't see Green Hulk doing that to customers.
It is hard to get all the way in there with calipers but for reference the wear ring diameter measures in at slightly under 6 6/16 so ~ 161mm.

When you make a pump bore larger typically the vane angle will have to change to make up for the drop in thrust and it looks to be the same on both old and new.Pretty sure the new style pump is no different than the old style 155mm.Just a more cost effective one piece design by Yamaha like Seadoo has done from day one from what I gather

Agreed... This is the same "pump", just a different housing and wear ring setup.

I am also hoping for clarification directly from Jerry on this as I have ordered the new pump largely based on the fact that it is supposed to be a true 160mm and may help with cavitation/performance . I personally will still be happy that it will have a replaceable stainless wear ring as I wanted to replace my existing worn out ring anyway but many people may not want to spend that extra money if there is no actual change in the pump size.

So it’s not really a 160 complete set up ? Sorry not been on here much....so the 2020 is simplified as a wear ring changeable pump but still a 155/160 set up ?

Guys, I just heard back from my contact with Yamaha. If you measure across the back of the pump where the venturi nozzle mounts up you will see that it's 160mm. Older pumps were 155, and their 2020 NA skis are 155mm.

2020 Naturally Aspirated skis use a 155mm version of this pump (as measured at the back of the pump)
the 2020 Supercharged skis are 160mm (as measured across the back of the pump)

What is the equivalent measurement for SVHO models prior to 2020?

Exact same diameters between 2020 and previous SVHO models.
Going from 155mm impeller side to 160mm venturi side.

I'm still confused then, because Jerry has recently updated the product description in post #1 of this thread and it still seems to imply that the diameters are different.
