Doo impeller spline vs kawasaki impeller spline.

The doo is rxtx size, kawasaki is 15f/250x/310x size.

The PTO bearing and coupler have to be used as its part of the engine oiling system.

Thats the current plan, it simplifies the setup as well rather than making the custom shaft on the first page.

Forgive me I am a little slow. So you are running the seadoo pump and 15F engine correct. How are you going to mate these two. Are you going to use the seadoo shaft and turn down the Kawi side and re-thread to mate to the Kawi PTO. Or is the Seadoo shaft not long enough to do this. Or is it the other way around.

I have welded different size shafts together utilizing a custom machined collar if you will. I TIG plug weld them first on the lathe while continually checking runout and using the heat to move to where I want it to go. I have been able to keep the tolerances pretty tight. I then TIG fillet weld the ends of the coupler lip to the shaft on each end. The last one I did was for a tractor hyd pump drive. Albeit the tractor shaft spins no where near RPM you will be spinning.

The problem there is that you can't allign the motor correctly since the kawasaki shaft can't pulled out through the thru hull bearing. The bolted coupler lets you allign and adjust the motor in place easier. That is the intention anyways.

I still think the best plan is making the engine "look" like a kawasaki from a coupler perspective, Either through a stub shaft or something. I honestly don't think whipping will be an issue with a fresh rubber dampener. Sure, it might eat dampeners at an accelerated rate over say a bone stock 15f engine, but I think that under load the whole assembly will be okay.

I see single point internal and external threading in your future. One of the best machinists I have seen and he is down south is Abom79. That is his YT channel. I know he can do this. He is in Fla. My lathe cannot thread.
