Oil tank cap is broken-1994 WaveRaider

The oil cap is broken on my '94 Raider. An OEM oil cap is $16.49. Certainly wouldn't financially break me but come on! I'm a "all about value" guy and it just doesn't sit well with me to have to pay that much for a plastic cap.

I'm just taking a shot in the dark. Does anyone know of any other cap that would work?

the oil fill cap from a 74 pinto is an exact match, but that one is $29

Seriously, $16.49 is a GIFT considering how old the ski is and what those caps typically sell for. I got some used ones for $20 + shipping, that makes it $29

if it's all about value, why not just throw some jb weld on it and call it good.

My wife actually asked me if some plastic model cement (which we have) would work. I've also got JB Weld. I told her that I'd clean the plastic cap up and see if some glue would work.

I was thinking that there is some plastic cap out there with the same threads that would fit. That's why I asked.
