    Electrical problem

Hello! I have a 2002 Polaris virage tx 1200. Running up the Colorado river about 3miles, running fine. On the way back down made it almost to starting point then it just completely shut down. I know battery is good, opened the electrical box, there was no water in it and both glass fuses are good. Now the reset button stays in, so I reconnected the battery. Now the builge pump runs constantly when the engine is shut off, with the lanyard connected or not connected. Engine cranks but won’t fire. I was hoping you could point me in the right direction! Thanks for your time!!

This is a carburetor engine, correct?

What do you mean by ‘now the reset button stays in’?

The bilge pump always running indicates a failed LR start/stop module. LR-505 on a carburetor Virage. This module also controls CDI ignition (and ignition stop) function.

Sounds like the LR-505 needs to be replaced.

For a test you can temporarily bypass the LR-505 module. Details can be found via my signature links, or with a search on here.

If the engine starts and stops with the LR-505 bypassed, that is an indication that the module has failed.
