What’s optimal tongue weight for 2019 fx Ho waverunner on a single aluminum trailer?

Just put together my trailer and put my ski on it, feels like there’s about 100lbs on the ball. Too much too little?

Lots of prior threads discussing trailer tongue weight.

Rule of thumb is about 10% total loaded trailer weight on the hitch ball. 15% is not a problem. In general more tongue weight is not a problem. Too light on tongue weight is what you don’t want.

Often I see trailers configured with the hull too far back on the trailer, hanging way beyond the back end of the bunks. You want the hull well supported by the bunks.

Tip: the trailer frame should be level with the ground when trailer and tow vehicle are loaded and ready for the road.
