    importance of fogging 4tec

Found a 2016 seadoo locally for sale with only 19 hours on it. However, it is just been put away each winter and has never been fogged or had an oil change. Stored in a heated garage. Not sure I am good with this. Wanted other opinions.

    is the price right?

I'd get a compression check at the minimum

heated garage a bit of a plus, but there might be a fuel pump issue if it's still on the second tank of gas

I'd have a shop do a full inspection on it if the price is right. If they are looking for book + you can use the lack of hours as a negative feature

one of my customers has a 2007 with 39 hours, yet he gets it fully winterized at the end of every season. He actually pays me to drain the existing gas and give it a fresh fillup with no ethanol premium

that ski I'd buy in a second for book+

plan on rebuilding the blower(assuming it has one) on purchase.

Taking it to a dealer won't be an option. The best I could do is a water test and figure if it hits 67mph, the compression would be fine. I was more concerned about the lack of oil changes and fogging might have lead to internal corrosion. He has been riding it lately so the fuel isn't an issue.

Internal corrosion particularly in the area of the valves would be my main concern.

I will find out if that is the case on the pair I just brought home. Humidity and salt are a nasty combination. I am not hopeful.

I never fog mine, stored indoors, fresh and salt water. More critical on 2 stokes IMO.

Same here. Fire it up in the spring and ride.
