I have the same jetski running 83mph and tried different combinations for shimming the RIVA plate and ALL combinations slowed the ski 1-3mph. Rider placement is key and just have to find the right spot depending on the chop.

Kinda disappointing for Riva - Is Jim's modded Ride plate - better choice?

    Thanks

Mine bounces like a frickin basketball. Wtf? I thought Riva put so much R&d into this plate...?
Guess I have to figure it out for myself or give Dean or Jim a call... very disappointed.

Is there a reason Riva or someone in the know doesn't address this issue? Is it the oem grate? poor R & D? Cover up? :-0 ;-0

    Ride on.

My deans plate with extension does the same thing. I just learned to live with it for the most part.
