    Hull vent hose needed?

Newb question here. I was going over my new to me XLT 1200 and noticed that there is a hole under the seat where I believe a vent hose should go. I looked it up on Partshark and it seems that is what itís for. Well the whole elbow and hose is missing. Is this something I should be worried about? Iíve heard of, and seen videos of, jet skis blowing up and it has me wondering. Thanks for any help.

The "hose" is actually a black ABS plastic fresh air duct. Missing it does not create additional fire risk [that would come from leaking fuel lines, carburetor gaskets, fuel tank fittings etc]. The duct does help provide fresh air needed for combustion while underway so yes you do need a replacement. part numbers for 2000 xlt are
