    03 MSX 140 starter solenoid

Ok so ordered a new starter solenoid for a dealership. Got my package and opened it up and a nice polaris box was inside. It is labeled part#4011043. Opened it up and there was not a brown solenoid inside, but a black one. Iím looking for a part number on it to see what I got and found one. 278003012 is what is listed and googling this cone to a seadoo part. I know it will work but very confused as to why this is in a polaris box. I guess the dealership could have possible swapped it out.

Polaris does not actually manufacture the solenoid. BRP does (or at least has them made with their imprint). It certainly looks correct from your photo, especially if the small connector on the side is the same.

I had previously posted Seadoo/BRP part number 278002347 for the solenoid. That part number may now have been superseded (which cross references to the Polaris solenoid).

Ok that makes sense now. Thanks for chiming ln!! I was surprised to see some dealers in OHIO still had a bunch of this part number in stock.
