2019 waverunner FX series starting procedure

Been trying to find a video clip of the starting process of these new skis. Could someone please make a quick clip of how you actually start these skis? Thank you in advance!!

Well you press the start button. The safety lanyard needs to be attached.

    Thats it.

Sorry, should have been a little clearer. I’m specifically interested in the time it takes to start. From initial push of the start button how long till it cranks over?

I have a 2018 and 2019 FXHO. The 2018 "cranks" instantly when the starter button is pressed. The 2019 may take only a second to "crank" after the start button is pressed. It has to do with it's link to the computer/ECU. Both skis start/engine running, within two seconds once the starter cranks.

The 19 has the digital screen which takes a few seconds to power up. But the ski will start anyway. Press and it starts. Simple as that.

Thanks everyone for the info. So when the screen is off do you press the start button once and it’ll wake up the screen and start the motor?

If you give the start button a very quick tap, the screen will wake up but the engine won't crank. This is nice if you want to check info or just use the screen functions. Otherwise to start, press the button until you hear it start to crank and let up. It will crank and start. Or if your used to prior years, just hold down the button until you hear the engine fire and let up on the button.

Let me just say this....for some people this is overly complicated. My wife can’t get anything right with any buttons...on anything. On numerous occasions she can’t start the Waverunner. Says something is wrong. I walk up and boom...starts right up. It’s not an issue with the 2019...she cant start the 2016 or 2017 either. Nor can she operate the HVAC system in the car. 26 years we have been married and she still can’t start anything . If it has a button, it’s not intuitive to her.
