I Bet She can start a arguement. Lol

I will be using the ski as a rescue tool in large surf, literally seconds count, and wanted to understand better how long it takes to start from a screen off state.

It will start right up as soon as you press the button.

To be clear, you hit the starter button and it does take a few seconds for the screen to boot up. It will not start during this time. After a couple of seconds (2 or 3 seconds), when you hit the starter button it fires right up. After you turn the machine off the screen will go off in under a minute. And then you have to start the screen up again to start it again.

If seconds count.....add 3 to this machine.

Hmmmmm .... can more folks confirm this please !
And for even more clarity, when you say "does not start" do you mean the starter button is dead, or that it turns-over, yet won't fire-up? Then when the display is booted, now it starts?

The gauge (computer) should be autonomous of the ignition (computer). Historically they've been connected over a network, k-line if I recall. But hey, it's been revamped obviously, so who knows....

2019 FXHO. It arrived at my dealer in Pennsylvania first part of April 2019 and picked up May 1st. Mine starts, engine is running, within under two seconds when the start button is pressed. I have no delay in the starter turning when the start button is pressed nor do I wait for the screen. It just starts. I've had no issues with the screen either. 52 hours now.

Update: I took the ski out after posting and payed attention to the start time and display. After pushing the start button, there is a no more than one second delay before the starter begins to engage but there is a slight delay. The starter is spinning and the display is not on yet. The engine is running within another second and the display is just starting to boot but not showing the main screen info.
