    Exclamation Connecting rod not fit

    Hello everybody


    Today when I assemble my ultra 250x 08 engine I face this problem , there are two connecting rod the caps does not fit on them and when I try to install it in my new crankshaft it stuck stop rotate around journal and I notice also, that the color of them was changed it seem it was burned.


    Anyone know whats is the problem?

    Post a picture if you can, did you make sure that they are going on the correct rod and that you didnt switch them?

    If the failure on your original motor involved spun or damaged rod bearings then the big end of the rod is likely out of spec and no good. Usually in that case the cap will be loose and slide right off but this is what I would suspect seeing that you mentioned the discoloration from heat. Please post picture.

    Connecting rod not fit

    I have a set of low hour used rods from a 2007 along with new rod bolts still in the bag from Kawasaki if you’re interested. I can get pictures tonight. Let me know
