    Catch can

Hey gents, looking at trying my hand at building a catch can. Is anyone running a baffled catch can or just regular open can with breather?

There are many reasons why. But the biggest one is because I can. There’s nothing better then tinkering herein the shop. Pulling the seat and showing off a nice piece and knowing you built something cool and functional.

ya you can always get something cheaper but what fun is that

You will need a breather to let the pressurized air vent out in order to maintain flow. You should also have some type of baffling inside the can to slow the airstream and to collect oil from the mist. Lastly, you will need a ball valve to empty the can.

Fair enough, the one I have has a baffle and works better than a previous one that didn't have a baffle but metalic mesh material in the can.

I made one of these several years ago, worked great. And cheap to build.

I guess baffled it is. Don’t need oil sprayed everywhere in the engine compartment

Moroso $40 catch can, hand made mount bracket plumbed with 3/4” bilge hose. Over 100hrs on my 15 RXP and 40hrs on my 18 RXT 300 not a drop of oil in either one.
