Fx sho 09 Engine not rurning

I got an fx sho 2009 and it seems that the bottom part of the engine is turning however camshaft are not. (after getting a rope stuck in the shaft)

    1) The chain is still there however it seems that there is no grip with the chain. If the timing is out, will the valves be damaged?

    2) can it be fixed without removing the engine from its place?

Depends on piston to valve clearance. I would not turn it over anymore. You need to start to disassemble and get to chain if you can. You can leak the motor down with the cams out to determine if the valves are bent.

Take camshaft cover off and check the cam sprockets possible tensioner has gone slack maybe?

It is is an interference engine ask likely some valve damage

    what happened?

The SHO is a NON interference engine, the SVHO is interference. The sho pistons have a relief on the top for the valves so they should not of touched!

220hrs and mostly cruising maybe had 15hrs revved 6000-8000rpm

Can anyone make me a list of parts that might need replacement like chain, valves, gaskets ?
