According to the dealer it should be fixed by warranty according to EU laws. I am still waiting for the parts to arrive though.
However I have ordered a set of forged Wossner pistons to install in the new cylinder block, and in addition to that I will be changing the water lines.

Well, my 2015 SE Ultra is back up and running. And running great! It was, in fact, a Piston issue in #3 Cylinder. Yes, at 17 hours, a Piston issue is a tough pill to swallow . . . but,
At this time, I want to thank Kawasaki Motors for stepping up and rebuilding the engine. Yes, mechanical issues can happen on any engine / at anytime. But knowing Kawasaki is behind me all the way makes me a Jet Ski customer for life! JB

Good to hear JB ,
Kawi is the BEST when it comes to correcting warrantable failures.... Knowing you personally I'm sure you approached the situation like a gentlemen and gave all involved the respect they deserve....
Too many times all the fruitloops start of by throwing the " I'll sue you card bullshit" or start the conversation with I KNOW THIS A IS DESIGN FAULT BS......
I like you have been burnt by the other brands that just love to deny claims.... good to hear your it's all good now..... WazLast edited by sirbreaksalot; 09-28-2019 at 01:40 AM.

Lol- I see the Kawasaki Kool Aid is strong as ever over here!
JB, I never saw saw anyone happier to have an engine blow at 17 hours.
Hurray for Kawasaki! They build engines that blow up!
Don’t worry though... If You’re real nice to them they’ll actually honor they’re warranty obligations, right Waz?
Heroes for sure.

I spoke with kawi customer service and tech. supervisor on Monday, and asked him if there were any plans to fix the piston problem for 2020.
Q: Forgot to ask you, i know of quite a few 310 piston failures. This never
happened on the 300x, only when they went to the new pistons in the 310.
Any idea if they plan to address these failures on the 2020 skis ? Or just
continue to repair as necessary ?
A: There were changes made in 2016 to the piston/ring design. Kawasaki is
still using them now without any concerns.

If you didnt talk to someone high up the food chain, odds are they don't actually know what they are talking about.
Its easy to know when a part number changed but harder to know if something new is coming.
Since no one has taken me up on my offer to checkout a failed piston, we (people on the forum) still don't know what the issue is.
Kawasaki probably knows whats up, I assume that there is a reason for why it wasnt addressed. I am guessing emissions certification related but that is just a guess.
My offer still stands, send me a failed piston and I will check them out.
