    Rough 1997 Polaris sl1050

    Polaris sl1050 bad state:$1100
Thin 2 stage Boyesen power reeds for better low end :$120
    Clear plastic diaphragm: $75
New Oem keihin sudco diaphragm :$80
    New amg battery: $200
    1200 tx carbs :$149
    Water cooling stator cover: $50
    Fuel line: $50
Tx carbs fuel line & valve repair 50.
    3/8 water cooling hose.
    3/8 pisser $30
    Stator cover 3/8 conversion
    The psi reads 125, 95, 125
    oem:120,120,120/125,115,120

It has scores you can barley see above exhaust port on cen cylinder and there is a glaze.fourming over it.

Was Going to bore cen .25. Going to just buy a set.

The 2 cylinders read good marv's mystery oil.

They have lean carbon build up on pistons and walls.

Has a welded prop shaft scored wear ring on the edge of service.

Inner side of prop is tighter than 0.04

Going to buy diaphragms and various parts To compare.

Clear hard plastic diaphragms currently installed in both carb and fuel pumps.

My outside hull has stress crack starboard mid way side bottom and by front nose fuel filler.

Might not ride as straight as it should.

    Triple pipe big bore dreams!

Wsm had 3.5mm over that dissapeared.

Not very rough, that black sticker on the front fades in like 30 hours of use. After 22 years, I would think it needs some work , worst part is the previous mechanic.

Engine needs a new center rings...90 psi is done. You want at least 125

the mid bottom hull stress crack might cause problems and i should just scrap the hull for safety .

If i scrap it i gotta put the 1050 in something like a mini boat for light weight wave jumping or sell it

It would be nice to make a carbon fiber mold of a straight sl1050 hull.

Got myself a jet works valve :100 cad

I go a oem 707 prop and drive shaft for :$170

    I currently purchased 2 oem cylinders :$220

Now i can preserve the 2 good oem cylinders and do 1- 2 mm over to help better match the tx carbs .

Ive heard of success stories of 2mm over in street bikes and could use some feed back if anyone has attempted on a 1050 .

if anyone needs the cylinders and pistons pm , Ill even trade for parts.

Also have a Near mint 8 pin mfd for sale.

I can also get my hands on another 1050 domestic to build a oem config.

ill be able to take it wave jumping with no remorse.

    To answer your question.
Yes the 6 vane SS stator will work on that boat.
There are plenty of extended ride plates on EBAY for that boat as well as the 6 vane stator.
Drive shafts on Ebay as well.
Most guys use the Polaris 650/750 R&D intake grate or the Pro 1200 intake grate.
There's a Polaris service bulletin for proper exhaust port chamfering on the 1050 engines.

An up grade would be to use the 1200 Pro or SLX 40mm carbs ,
V Force 3 reeds from the Polaris Octane are still available on ebay.
Sleeper kit from Group K , see Group K web site, winter time project.
