    Yamaha VXS tuning

    Hello,

New here to this forum but have som questions I hope maybe somebody can give me an answer to.
Im from Norway so excuse my english.

Just bought a 2015 VXS with a 2017 engine, everything stock.
Ordered the riva racing intake grate, ride plate, airfilter kit, concorde impeller(stage 1),waterbox and rear exhaust.
I also connectet this Candoo Pro GPS couse the speedometer was just "jumping".
After all these mods the my Yamaha wont go faster then 99kph/62mph.
I thought this was stock performance with 62mph?

    Regards Thomas

1.8? Mr1? I would throw a map tuner on it. It’ll help with the prop

    Ok, thanx.
The maptuner is next to buy but thought maybe that the jetski would go a little bit faster with all these mods also.

What is the rpm, I am going to guess 7100-7200 hitting 62mph?

I have a vxr 2016. Similar mods. You should be above 65mph.

The exhaust doesn’t do anything. Did you do ribbon delete? I have 2019 intake grate and ride plate, k&n intake, ribbon delete. Mine went from ~62 to ~68.

    Thanx for answer.
Riva Racing says that the waterbox only should give 15hp more.
    What is ribbon delete means?
    What rpm do you have?
Before all these mods the RPM was 7200 but now its 7700 RPM but still only 62mph.
But this is also after mounting the candoo gps module, maybe the original speedometer is "lying"?

My original speedometer was showing 50 for top speed. I use a gps device to get actual speeds. Your stock one is not accurate enough for this type of measuring when you’re actually looking for just a couple mph change.

I’m surprised they told you the water box adds anything. On the supercharged ones maybe but the 1.8 ho motor isn’t that restricted on the exhaust side.

It says on Rivas website, if you search for parts after model/year, the riva waterbox comes up, thats why i bought it.
But I found out what the ribbon delete is now so im going to start with that now before the autotune.
