Shibs,
I'm with ya. Entirely too nice for work/school. I made it out on saturday. A little windy, but warm for the Northeast. 77.5 - absolute tie with my all time best, on the buzzer. 77.0 the other way!
Can't wait to try new "top speed" tail cone that I ordered from Yellow in France. Promises 1.6mph. It s/b here wednesday. 77.5 + 1.6 = no waaay! (We'll see)

Brendan... u northern or southern jersey? Depending how feb and march treat us, I'm thinking of puttin together a pre-season kick off ride in april or something. Alot of guys waitin on new 06 skis, so after they've taken delivery, thought we'd do an ice breaker and get some break-in hours on those skis. I got a few people interested from CT, long island, and northern jersey...
i gotta get my ski back together so i can ride itwaitin on small things like hydro-turf mats not cut yet from the factory, ODI grips, finger throttle stuff, and gotta tie up misc. odds and ends inside the ski.

According to the "Yellow" guys, the cone is designed to provide more top vs a small decrease in holeshot. For my ski, the holeshot is hard to keep glued, so a little less wouldn't be the worst thing.

Mike - I did not see any top end gain with the AAT. In fact, after trying all of the inserts, I could not match the top end that I got with the stock cone. However, on a positive note, some of the inserts seem to provide a little more low-end response. Unfortunately, that's not really what I'm after. The "Yellow" cone looks very similar in design to the stock setup and might prove the better top end answer. Believe me - I will be posting this wknd. (weather permitting - naturally
