I have had my 2020 FX SVHO Limited for a few weeks now, its an upgrade over my 2018 FX HO for sure. New hull is pretty nice tracks and turns much better. Its pretty quick stock, I ordered a Riva stage 1 Plus kit so that should be fun. Accessories are great in the limited model the Garmin is great and the speakers sound really nice even if you only have 1 one on at a time. Not a fan of the rubber straps on the tail storage or on the glove box seems cheap. Also the black looks sick but man it looks awful after a few hours in the ocean. You have to really wash and dry it to keep it looking OK. Overall pretty happy with the ski.

What ski did you have before the 2018 FX?

2018 FX HO was my 1st ski. We went out with a buddy who has a GP1800 and a VX cruiser we really liked it but for my wife and son I thought the bigger FX boat would be a better fit and I think it was. Now that we are all in I figured get the limited and mod it out!

Did you hang onto the FXHO? Was thinking of hanging onto my 2017 for wife and son and going and getting a new SVHO for myself.

Yes, We kept it. We have friends who come out with us and having two boats makes it a little more fun. Plus my wife didnt want to upgrade the ski and make it superfast so she can use the 2018 and ill mod the new one. This way when we go cruise the bay in san diego my wife can ride by herself and that makes her way more comfortable than riding 3 up with the kid and myself. I say keep you 2017 if you can.

Did I miss that Yamaha stopped making the FZR?
Been digging through their website and can't find it.
How come no one talked about this or did I completely miss the discussion?

I made a firmware for 2 power modes with switching to my FZR SVHO, at 250 and 350 horsepower. In the first mode, my wife or I drive when we go far, the second mode is for racing.
