Got the jsm coupler. Their website said it fit genesis but wow no room for error...
got the driveshaft cleaned up nicely

For those who eventually purchase an aftermarket jsm coupler- here’s what I did to get more wiggle room. I cut a 1/4 inch off the barb so that the coupler wouldn’t have any chance on rubbing against or hitting the engine coupler. I put a metal object underneath the barb Incase the saw went threw, then used a file to clean up the edges, and get a towel to clean up any rubber dust from inside the barb. Tighten the hose clamps like your life depends on it, and check them after first use/periodically.
Sea trial is Friday.

So you cut the actual raised ridge ‘barb’ off the end of the plastic sleeve, correct?
