add me to the list of broken handlebars

Jumping waves the whole thing broke off. Trying to figure out what all i need to fix it. Rhe handlebar assembly (and everything attached) sank to the bottom of the lake.

    its a 2014 spark...

I think I'm going to retrofit the trix adjustable bars. Looks like I will also need to buy the start button, throttle sensor, and probably the throttle/bushings as well. The retrofit kit on Riva doesnt have any pics of the parts but they offer a new harness. Do any of you know what all I need to buy?

Have you been jumping waves with this Spark for five years?

What size of wave jumping? Ocean waves?

I should have clarified, jumping waves made from boat wakes. I live on a lake in Wisconsin. There are no real waves. I only use the ski intermittently for like 2 months a year due to the awesome Wisconsin weather. Nothing crazy by any means.

I was never given any recall information. I also contacted my dealer years ago to ask if my spark was due any recall work. They told me no.

I emailed BRP customer care the pics and await their response. BRP's spark recall page lists this as SOME model year 2014 sparks are recalled, not all....

What do you expect when you buy a jet ski made out of plastic?

For the research to have been done. Handlebars breaking off impose a HUGE liability to the company.

Well, BRP responded to my email this AM. They told me my hull ID IS part of the recall. I was never informed. I also asked my dealer if it was part of a recall about 2 years ago. they told me no.

BRP wants me to bring it to the dealer and fill out an incident form. They have not really said if they will cover it, only that it was part of the recall and the recall was never claimed. No idea if there is a time limit on it. I already completed the incident form and emailed it all to the dealer (a different one, I hate my OLD dealer).
