modified pro 1200 carb. ?
I have a triple piped 1200 with 46mm novi carbs that have 2.0 needle and seats and gold springs. The pop-off pressure was approximately 34 psi on each carb.
The engine idles fine but when you get to about 2800 rpms the mag and pto carbs start dribbling fuel from the inner venturi which causes it to go rich and then vibrate more causing more dribbling. The center carb never does this.
The return fuel pressure is 1 psi at idle and 4-5 psi at wide open.
Do I need higher pop-off pressure? Are there stiffer springs than the gold springs. If I went to 1.5 needle and seats would they flow enough fuel?
