    My 215hp to 260hp upgrade

    Upgraded my Challenger 180 to compensate for power loss at elevation 6200ft.

    It's awesome! It feels life twice the engine power even though it's supposed to only increase by 40-50hp's. 1/3 throttle now is as fast as full throttle when it was stock while RPM's are only up by less than 200.

    So at 6200ft elevation, the stock setup max RPM was 6800 @ 30-32mph throttle all the way up so I'm loosing @ 1200 RPM from low 02 at 6k elevation. Now I can get that same speed (30-32 mph) 7000 RPM at only 1/3 throttle opened. I can't seem to wrap my head around why it's giving me more HP's than I thought. Maybe the supercharger and IC compensates differently between sea level and elevation (water temp 68F degrees all summer)? I chickened out at half throttle because of porpoising but will try it again when the water is calmer to see how far it can go.

    If its a 2007 or older, the 255/260 engines have oil sprayers with larger nozzles. They spray oil from under the pistons

    I have a 2007. Is there a practical difference in performance or anything improved with the larger nozzles?

    The older nozzle can destroy your engine as your engine is now a 255+. The small nozzle are for 215hp and under.

    Thanks for that info, i didn't know about it until now. How involved is it to put in the 255 nozzle?

    Guys have been doing this upgrade for 10 plus years without issues and i bet 99% have never even heard of different oiling nozzles nor have they been replaced.
