Help Please!!
I have a stock 04 rxp with a PPG stage1 kit and am currently running a Solas 14/19 at 8050 rpm's and just creeping past a stock rxp. My speedo says 70 with about 4 bars or less and my accel. is great.
Yesterday I installed a new wear ring and gave a new Solas 15/20 a try and went down to 7550 rpm and 68 at best on the clock.
I am only looking for a few more mph and would like to hit 72 on my stock speedo. I dont care if I have no pick-up at all. I am only interested in top-end
Should I put back the 14/19 and call it a day? Or should I get the 15/20 depitched? Are there a few things that I can do to pull that 15/20 into the 8000 rpm range??
I will do alot of riding around Manhattan and my rxp has 170 hours on it. I realy dont want to mess with any internals.
Suggestions anyone??

Well, first of all you need more power to turn the 15/20. If you add the Riva Rear intake,Riva Rear exhaust & aftermarket IC you'd would be closer to 15/20 impeller range.
With the RPM's your running now, your out of the "prop tweeking" range; figure 1mm bend = (+/-) 100-130 RPM, your case you'd need 6MM taken out of your 15/20 and that's just to much..

so should I just go back to the 14/19 and end it??
Do you think that a 2 mm. de-pitch on the 15/20 will be better than the 14/19??
Should I try the skat trak nossle with the 81mm with the 14/19??

I think stock is 83mm, so if you go 81mm then pitch back to 8100RPM's on your impeller,you would gain top speed but you would drop holeshot.
On my ski, when I drop from 82mm to 81mm it's very noticeable on holeshot w/ .4 -.9 MPH gain on top. My point is if your looking for more speed you might want to go stage II then tune, your options are alot better once you get a few more mods.

I think Alex nailed it ... add more mods (rear air intake, better supercharger impeller, intercooler) so you can pull the 15/20, or put that on the shelf for later, and put the 14/19 back in ...

Don't bend that prop if you plan on putting more power down the line...put the 14/19 back in it and run it until you get your hands on more power, such as an external SC and such...
you don't want to bend that 15.20 too many times in different directions...

Thanks Vern. But do you think I should send the 15/20 back for a de-pitch, or just throw the 14/19 back in??
Right now my ski with the 14/19 pulls like an animal and is steady at 8000-8050.
