All the zx12r valvetrain components interchange. Do you know why it dropped a valve? Did you inspect the valve that dropped?

i bought the ski broken. when i took it apart the locks for the valve had broke, the head of valve shoved right throw the pistont and beat the hell out of the head. The crank and bearings look perfect . so I got a used head and barrels and 1 new rod looking at je forged pistons and than send it out to get balanced . was looking at ape for pistons 9.5 -1 which I think will still be safe on 91 octane they have valve springs to but have no feed back if they are good or not ?

I wouldnt run 9.5s on less than 93 octane. When you yanked the busted valve out, was it sticky in the guide?

These guys are great......... Basment guys like Kawiperformance dont design ..... they just resell at a markup
go straight to the source and then you dont have a middle man feeding their version of the facts...
or as Smokey said bike stuff fits
and APE are very familiar with the Kawi product/heads and do great work...….

the head of valve broke off, the stem of valve is still in guide it moves by hand very easy .
