Line in hull from carbon seal-2019 rxt x 300. Normal or not?

Just turned over 10 hours so figured Id clean the hull/engine thoroughly, re-treat with xps corrosion protector, look things over, change the oil etc. I noticed this black line in the hull from the carbon seal. Obviously things need to seat etc, and the seal itself looks fine. What say the wise folks of Greenhulk?

    Thanks!

A brand new carbon seal will leave a mark as it is broken in. Just keep an eye on it.

I have a line very similar in my 2018. Ive put 20 more hours on it since I noticed it and no change to the line. My ski is bone dry every time I take it out. Like Shotgun10ga said, just keep an eye on it.

Completely normal. You’re all good. If you start to see black dust spread all over the bottom of the hull, then you have issue.

Thanks all! Appreciate the quick responses. What’s the best to clean up this residue? Simple green? I assume the inside of the hulls on these is more resilient than the outside acrylic, but I’m still gun shy of using anything too strong....

OP - Will you post up a more direct from the top, axial photo of that carbon seal and hat? I want to see about the axial alignment of the carbon seal and the hat. They look offset in your photo on the right, but maybe that is just the angle of the shot.
