    Best Hat/Sun Protection for Head

I don't want to put a bimini top on my ski, so what are the best options for some type of headwear that will stay on at 70 mph? I need to reduce the sun exposure to my face and bald head.

The best I've been able to come up with is a head wrap (doo rag). Works great, although I lost a couple at speeds exceeding 60mph so you have to tie it tight. Amazing how fast they sink.

It'll make you look like some badass motorcycle dude. I've scared more than a few people wearing it, but I take it off and replace it with a baseball hat when not riding.

I have a helmet because my GoPro is mounted on it. I don't want to wear it all the time, LOL.

I guess it depends on the head & how tight. I've never lost one at 60-70. It took 90 to get mine. I second the doo rag though. Pretty effective. RR

We have all seen the various head and neck wraps that are marketed to the fishing industry. Are those made out of a more high tech fabric to consider over a cotton doo rag?

I just got to chime in ... a simple bandana of your choosing works great at any speed. The ball cap is for no wakes and docking. Got to look good for the possie. LOL Steve Lee
