Virage TX slow acceleration and no top end

I thought for a while that I had dirty carb, no fuel pressure, clogged fuel lines, etc. Recently I took out my 2000 Virage tx for another test run and noticed that when I got airborn while holding down the throttle rpm’s increased, then decreased when it hit the water. So, I pulled my pump and noticed a nickel sized hole in one of the stator vanes. Could this actually be the problem or even bad bearings?

    Welcome to Greenhulk!

Your pump is in bad shape. Usually this results in cavitation (the feeling of revving but not going anywhere). Regardless, RPMS will always increase when the pump becomes unloaded/unhooked, such as when jumping waves. You probably have more than one issue going on, but that pump needs repair/replacement for sure.
