    Seadoo spark wiring harness 2015

    Ive had this spark since 2015, and it went through hurricane michael. which broke the IBR hardware off including the accuator. My question is, can I somehow make my ski operate normally, without going into limp mode, suck as replacing the wiring harness, one without the IBR and maybe the ECM will not look for the IBR anymore. Does this sound doable to anyone?

    you'll need to get an ECU from a standard spark..doesn't your homeowners insurance cover the cost of that damage? I assume it was at a dock at your home.

    Hopefully somebody with direct experience here will chime in

    The ECU is 100% the same, just the programming that differs. I think that you can enable and disable iBR with BUDS, maybe check with a local dealer?

    that's odd, my research indicated two different part numbers for the spark ecu.

    Where did you find for he 2015 the non-ibr model has the same part # as the IBR model. I used the parts diagrams at riva racing

    for an IBR model it's: 420666263
    for the non IBR model: 420666268

    given the cost of the ECU, I'd certainly check to see what a dealer might want to disable the IBR or perhaps re flash the old ECU to the code of the non IBR model.

    They have different part numbers since you must be able to order them depending on what you need.

    But the actual HW is exactly the same and I know it's possible to change the programming because a tuner here did it for me. I think it was done using BUDS and he took a non iBR ECU and turned it to an iBR enabled one.
